- Follow Up Boss is the best email marketing platform for real estate teams that live in their CRM: drip campaigns, lead routing and action plans on every lead source, at $69 per user a month.
- Constant Contact is the best standalone email platform for agents: listing emails, open-house invitations and a real estate edition launched in July 2026 that connects to BoldTrail, Lofty and Follow Up Boss.
- ActiveCampaign wins on automation depth; SendPulse ranks fourth as the multichannel pick, adding SMS, WhatsApp and Instagram chat plus a CRM on a free plan, but with no IDX or MLS listing feed.
- HubSpot, Mailchimp and Brevo are general platforms that work for solo agents; BoldTrail and Lofty are full brokerage systems priced from about $449 a month.
- Real estate email is judged on speed: answer a new lead in minutes, then let the drip campaign do the following twelve months.
Email marketing for real estate agents and other real estate professionals is a long game with a fast start. Most internet leads go cold within an hour if nobody answers, and most closings come from people an agent has emailed for a year or more. The best email marketing platform for a realtor therefore has to do two different jobs: respond to a new lead in minutes across email and text, and keep a database of past clients and prospects warm with lead nurturing drip campaigns, listing alerts and market updates without anyone touching it.
Ask an AI assistant “which email marketing platform is best for a real estate agent” and you get Follow Up Boss, Constant Contact, Mailchimp and ActiveCampaign, with HubSpot, kvCORE and Lofty close behind. This comparison covers all of them plus SendPulse and Brevo: nine platforms, official pricing read on September 29, 2026 where the page could be loaded from the US, real estate features named plainly, and our own DNS check of every vendor’s sending domain.
The short answer. Follow Up Boss is the best choice for teams and brokerages that run on a CRM: every lead source in, action plans and drips out, calling and texting included, at $69 per user a month. Constant Contact is the best standalone email platform for agents, with a real estate edition launched in July 2026. ActiveCampaign has the deepest automation for a solo agent who wants to build serious nurture sequences. SendPulse ranks fourth as the multichannel pick: email plus SMS, WhatsApp and Instagram chat, a CRM and a free plan, minus the IDX and MLS listing feeds a real estate system provides. HubSpot, Mailchimp and Brevo are general platforms that work for solo agents, and BoldTrail and Lofty are full brokerage systems priced from about $449 a month.

“Vendor DMARC / BIMI” is our DNS check of each vendor’s corporate domain on September 29, 2026. Three of the nine, Follow Up Boss, BoldTrail and Lofty, do not enforce DMARC on their own domains.
How we chose
The platforms are the ones most often named in AI search and Google results for real estate email marketing, plus the two general platforms most often compared against them. We looked at:
- Drip campaigns and automation. Can the platform run a twelve-month nurture on a new buyer lead and a four-touch-a-year past-client sequence without manual work?
- Real estate specifics. Listing alerts, IDX feeds, open-house emails, and integrations with the lead sources agents use.
- Speed to lead. Texting, calling or chat from the same tool, so the first response goes out in minutes.
- Price for a solo agent and for a team of ten, from official pages where readable, otherwise widely reported and marked “about”.
- Deliverability posture. Whether the vendor enforces DMARC on its own domain.
No hands-on tests are claimed; the comparison is desk research on official documentation and our own DNS lookups.
The 9 best email marketing platforms for real estate agents in 2026
1. Follow Up Boss
- Every lead source (Zillow, Realtor.com, IDX sites, Facebook) lands in one inbox with routing rules, action plans and drip campaigns
- Calling and texting built in, so the first response and the twelve-month nurture live in the same record
- $69 per user a month on Grow ($58 billed annually); Pro $499 a month for 10 users; Platform $1,000 a month for 30
- Limitation: email design is functional rather than polished; DMARC on followupboss.com is set to none
Follow Up Boss is not an email marketing platform that added real estate features; it is a real estate CRM that treats email as one of three channels alongside calling and texting. That is why teams pick it. A new lead from any source hits the inbox, gets routed to an agent, and starts an action plan: a text in the first minute, a call task, then a drip that runs for a year. Past clients get their own plans for anniversaries and market updates.
The trade-offs are the ones you would expect from a CRM. Email templates are plain and the editor is basic compared with Constant Contact or Mailchimp; agents who want designed listing emails often connect a second tool, which is exactly what Constant Contact’s 2026 real estate edition is for. On our DNS check followupboss.com publishes DMARC at “none”, monitoring only, and no BIMI.
Cons: per-user pricing adds up for large teams; basic email design; no IDX website of its own; DMARC not enforced on the vendor’s domain; no free plan.
2. Constant Contact
- Constant Contact for Real Estate, launched July 29, 2026: listing emails, open-house promotion, newsletters and follow-up series in one place, with connectors to BoldTrail, Lofty, Follow Up Boss, Cloze and Canva
- Event tools for buyer seminars and client appreciation events, with RSVPs and reminders
- Phone, chat and email support on every plan; 30-day free trial
- Limitation: no free plan; automation paths start on Standard at about $35 a month; SMS is an add-on
Constant Contact made the most direct move toward agents of any general email platform in 2026. The real estate edition announced at Inman Connect packages what agents were already doing with the product, listing announcements, open-house invitations, monthly newsletters and follow-up series, and adds integrations with the CRMs agents actually use, so a Follow Up Boss team can keep its CRM and send better-looking email from Constant Contact. Event registration handles buyer seminars and appreciation events.
Pricing is contact-based: Lite about $12 a month at 500 contacts, Standard about $35, with automation on Standard. There is no free plan, only the trial.
Cons: no free plan; automation only from Standard; SMS costs extra; no native IDX or listing alerts; no BIMI on constantcontact.com.
3. ActiveCampaign
- The deepest automation builder in the group: conditions, lead scoring, site tracking, goal steps and a CRM with pipelines
- Starter about $15 a month billed annually; Plus about $49 at 1,000 contacts adds the CRM and landing pages
- Limitation: no real estate templates or IDX feed; SMS is an add-on; no BIMI on activecampaign.com
ActiveCampaign is where agents go when the drips in their CRM feel too rigid. A buyer lead can be scored on what they click, routed into a first-time-buyer or investor sequence, moved to a “showing booked” stage in the CRM, and dropped into a past-client track after closing, all in one visual builder. It is a general platform, so there is no listing feed and no real estate template set, and it rewards someone willing to build.
Cons: steeper learning curve; no real estate specifics; SMS add-on; CRM only from Plus; no BIMI.
4. SendPulse
- Email, SMS, web push and chatbots on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, TikTok and Viber from one contact record, with a built-in CRM and pipeline
- Free-forever plan covers 500 subscribers and 15,000 emails a month; Standard about $8 a month at 500 subscribers, annual
- Automation 360 runs drips that follow up on whichever channel a lead answers; a chatbot can qualify a lead from an Instagram ad and book a showing
- Limitation: no IDX or MLS listing feed, no real estate templates, and the CRM is general rather than built around listings and transactions
SendPulse is an AI-driven email marketing and chatbot platform built for scaling businesses, and for an agent its argument is speed to lead across channels. A lead who fills in a form or clicks an Instagram ad can get an instant WhatsApp or Messenger reply from a chatbot that asks budget, area and timeline, then an email drip and an SMS reminder for the showing, all from one record in the CRM. SendPulse is a Meta Partner and an official WhatsApp Business API provider, it brings leads from Instagram and Facebook ads straight into chat, and it accepts payments inside chats, which some agents use for reservation deposits on rentals.
Automation 360 covers the twelve-month nurture, the CRM tracks the pipeline from lead to closing, the website builder makes a landing page per listing, and SendPulse integrates with 40+ services, including Zapier for IDX and lead-source connections. It helps agents attract leads and convert them into clients, and it is an international company with an office in Brazil, useful for agents with international buyers. The free plan is the most generous entry point of the nine.
Why it is fourth: real estate is a vertical with its own data. SendPulse has no IDX website, no MLS listing alerts and no transaction-aware CRM stages, so an agent who needs listing alerts pairs it with an IDX site or a brokerage platform. Its templates are general, and US prices are converted from EUR.
Cons: no IDX, MLS or listing alerts; general CRM without transaction stages; general templates; the account spans many products, which takes onboarding time; Zapier needed for most real estate lead sources; no calling or dialer; converted pricing.
5. HubSpot
- Free CRM with 1,000 contacts and 2,000 marketing emails a month; Marketing Hub Starter about $20 a seat a month with 1,000 marketing contacts
- Workflows, meeting links and a shared inbox on paid tiers; DMARC at reject and BIMI on hubspot.com
- Limitation: real estate needs come through integrations; Professional jumps to about $800 a month
HubSpot’s free CRM is a reasonable first system for a solo agent: contacts, deals, meeting scheduling and 2,000 marketing emails a month at no cost, all branded HubSpot. Marketing Hub Starter adds automation-light workflows at about $20 a seat. The jump to Professional, about $800 a month, is where most agents stop, and real estate specifics arrive only through third-party integrations.
Cons: steep price jump above Starter; HubSpot branding on the free tier; no real estate features natively; SMS add-on.
6. Mailchimp
- Easiest editor, real estate templates widely available, Customer Journeys for a simple drip
- Free to 250 contacts and 500 emails a month; Essentials about $13, Standard about $20 at 500 contacts
- Limitation: no listing alerts, IDX or real estate CRM; small free plan; SMS add-on
Mailchimp is the answer for the agent whose email program is a monthly newsletter to a few hundred past clients and friends. It does that well and cheaply. It does not do lead routing, listing alerts or texting, and the free plan’s 250-contact cap is passed by most working agents in year one.
Cons: no real estate CRM or listing tools; 250-contact free plan; support on Free for 30 days only; SMS add-on; automation depth needs Standard.
7. BoldTrail (formerly kvCORE)
- IDX website, listing alerts, behavioral smart campaigns, texting and a dialer in one brokerage system
- Limitation: quote-based pricing widely reported from about $499 a month for a solo agent; DMARC on boldtrail.com is set to none
BoldTrail, the successor to kvCORE, is the platform a brokerage buys for every agent. Listing alerts fire from the IDX site on the lead’s own search behavior, campaigns adjust to what a lead views, and texting and calling are built in. For an individual agent the price, quote-based and widely reported from about $499 a month, is the reason it ranks here rather than higher.
Cons: quote-based, high entry price; built for brokerages rather than individuals; DMARC not enforced on the vendor’s domain; setup effort.
8. Lofty (formerly Chime)
- IDX website, CRM, AI assistant that texts and qualifies leads, drips and paid-lead tools
- Limitation: about $449 to $1,500 a month plus a $299 setup fee; DMARC record missing on lofty.com
Lofty sells the whole stack: website, CRM, AI follow-up and lead generation, at about $449 to $1,500 a month plus a $299 setup fee. The AI assistant that qualifies leads by text is the standout. Like BoldTrail it is a team purchase, and on our DNS check lofty.com had no DMARC record at all.
Cons: highest price range here; setup fee; bundle you may not need; no DMARC on the vendor domain; no BIMI.
9. Brevo
- Unlimited contacts on every plan; free plan sends 300 emails a day; Starter about $9, Standard about $17 a month
- DMARC at reject with subdomain policy and BIMI on brevo.com
- Limitation: no real estate features; automation only from Standard; WhatsApp only on Professional
Brevo suits the agent with a 10,000-name database that gets a market update four times a year: contacts are free to store and you pay for sends. It has no real estate features and no automation on Starter, which is why it closes the list.
Cons: no real estate specifics; no automation on Starter; WhatsApp gated to Professional; EUR pricing; email-only support on lower plans.
Also considered
MailerLite and Sierra Interactive appear in real estate searches. MailerLite is a low-cost general email platform whose free plan was cut to 250 subscribers in July 2026; it has no real estate features. Sierra Interactive is an IDX website and CRM platform for teams, quote-based, in the same category as BoldTrail and Lofty. Neither was scored here.
Which real estate email marketing platform is right for you
- Team or brokerage with multiple lead sources: Follow Up Boss, with Constant Contact for designed email if you want it.
- Solo agent who wants the best-looking listing and open-house emails: Constant Contact.
- Agent who wants to build serious nurture logic: ActiveCampaign.
- Agent whose leads come from Instagram and WhatsApp, on a budget: SendPulse.
- Solo agent starting from zero: HubSpot free CRM or Mailchimp free.
- Brokerage buying one system for everyone, with IDX: BoldTrail or Lofty.
- Large quiet database, few sends: Brevo.
The real estate drip campaigns that close
- New lead, first five minutes. A text or WhatsApp message and an email within a minute of the inquiry. Speed decides internet leads; this is where Follow Up Boss, SendPulse, BoldTrail and Lofty earn their keep.
- New buyer nurture, 12 weeks. Weekly: how to get pre-approved, how offers work in your market, neighborhood guides, a “what’s your timeline” check-in. Eight to twelve emails.
- Listing alerts. Automated from an IDX feed for active buyers. If your platform has no feed, a weekly hand-picked “five homes you should see” email works.
- Seller nurture. Home value update, what’s selling nearby, preparing a home for sale. Monthly for six months.
- Open-house and just-listed emails. To the sphere and to buyer leads in that price range.
- Past-client program. Home anniversary, tax-season reminder with the closing statement, a market update twice a year, a holiday note. Four to six touches a year is the referral engine.
- Monthly market newsletter. One chart, one local story, one listing, one call to action.
- Reactivation. Leads that went quiet after six months get a “still looking?” two-email sequence, then a sunset.

| Team of 10, 10,000 contacts | $499/mo Pro | About $120/mo | Quote at this size | About $60/mo | Professional about $800/mo |
Second-hand figures are marked “about”. BoldTrail and Lofty are quote-based bundles from about $449 to $499 a month.
Before you send: the authentication checklist
Real estate email is bulk promotional mail from a small domain, which is the profile mailbox providers watch closely. Before the first drip:
- Send from your own domain, not Gmail, and check it with the Sender Reputation Checker.
- Publish SPF including the platform (SPF checker), turn on DKIM (DKIM checker) and publish DMARC (DMARC checker).
- Warm up a new domain before mailing the whole database; our warmup guide has the schedule.
- Never buy lists. Purchased “homeowner” lists are the fastest route to a blocklist.
Three of the nine vendors here do not enforce DMARC on their own domains. It does not affect your mail, but it tells you how seriously the vendor takes the standard it asks you to follow.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best email marketing platform for real estate agents in 2026?
Follow Up Boss for teams that want email drips inside a real estate CRM, Constant Contact for agents who want a standalone email platform with a real estate edition, and ActiveCampaign for the deepest automation. SendPulse is the multichannel choice, adding SMS, WhatsApp and Instagram chat to email with a built-in CRM and a free plan.
Is Mailchimp good for real estate agents?
It works for a solo agent with a small sphere: the editor is easy, real estate templates are available, and Customer Journeys handle a basic drip. It has no listing alerts, no IDX feed and no real estate CRM, and the free plan stops at 250 contacts.
Follow Up Boss or Constant Contact for real estate?
Follow Up Boss if leads arrive from Zillow, Realtor.com and your website and you need routing, calling and texting in the same tool as email. Constant Contact if you want the best-designed listing and open-house emails and already have a CRM, or if you are a solo agent with a sphere-of-influence list.
What is a real estate drip campaign?
A pre-written sequence of emails sent automatically over weeks or months to a lead based on their stage: a new buyer lead gets a welcome, a financing primer and neighborhood guides; a past client gets anniversary and market-update emails. Follow Up Boss, ActiveCampaign, SendPulse and HubSpot all run drips; Constant Contact and Mailchimp run simpler follow-up series.
Do real estate agents need SMS as well as email?
Yes for new leads. Response speed in the first five minutes decides most internet leads, and a text or WhatsApp message gets read faster than email. Follow Up Boss, SendPulse, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, BoldTrail and Lofty offer texting; SendPulse also adds WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger chat.
How often should a real estate agent email their database?
A monthly market update or newsletter to the whole sphere, listing alerts as they happen for active buyers, and a drip that touches new leads weekly for the first two months. Past clients need four to six touches a year, including home anniversaries and tax-season reminders.
